Hi

PNWPhotos.com a friendly and growing community of photographers with an interest in the Pacific Northwest region. We feature a Photography Discussion Forum and Pacific Northwest Photo Gallery. It's a fun and friendly place to talk with other photographers, ask questions, share you knowledge, view and post photos and more!

I also found the forum via the Craigs List post........This looks like it will be a interesting place to hang out! Thanks Bob and Leia and anyone else that put in the time to build the site up.

I have had a camera in my hand most of my life, but have been really working on my skills over the last 4 years or so, and started shooting full time in Jan 08.

I hope the we have some "meet ups" so we can get to know each other and share our skills.

You can see more of my work at www.ronkenny.com

Cheers!
Ron

Ron,

Welcome aboard, thanks for signing up!

Meetups are definitely in the plans, Robert already mentioned he wants to set some up for the forum members.

We'll also begin some monthly photo "contests" as soon as we get a decent crowd. I put contest in quotes, since the goal will simply be to give folks a chance to show off your work, rather than it being all about competing.

If you have any ideas or suggestions, please let me know. Also, please jump in and get some conversations going, we need to get folks talking! We've got over 40 members already, but most of them are pretty quiet so far.

Thanks, but I can't take credit for that...Mr Bob is the man. :)

And yes, that opening shot IS incredible. Also, I admire the lighting/color you get on your indoor people shots and nighttime event photos. You have one with a man playing an acoustic guitar with no blowout or ugly glare on the guitar's finish. Nice work.

Actually Leia, you and the rest of the staff certainly can and should take credit for this place. Without all of your hard work to get this place going and help me out, all there'd be is Bob talking to himself. That's called a blog, and while some folks like them, that's definitely not what I have in mind for this place.

So while I can understand your modesty, all of you on staff deserve credit for your help, and I thank you very much for all the hard work you're doing!

I also appreciate all the folks who've signed up and said "I'll give this a try" instead of waiting to see what happens. The first couple of months in a new forum are always difficult, and it can be tough to keep folks talking. Once you get a core group of people going, it's active enough that you attract lots of new members.

So my thanks to everyone who's helping me get things started!

Welcome Kenny!

Yes, your site is very professional.

I've been in the Real Estate industry for over 25 years, so your website and the obvious work behind it, intrigues me.

When you get a few minutes, I'd like to discuss it withyou, offline. PM if you'd like.
