First post. I'm new at birding. New at bird photography. A million years ago I was a photojournalist, so I know how to work a camera. But I never pointed one at a bird with any purpose. But I bought a 400 5.6 recently and it feels like I'm roaming the sidelines again.
Dumb question. I was out at Billy Frank Jr. on Monday. What kind of birds are these? I think they're juveniles. And I think they're one of those thousands of fork-tailed birds out there. I think.
I don't even know where to start to look. I picked up a wildlife checklist at the park, But I don't even know if they're starlings or swallows or sparrows or what. I'm asking for a little indulgence in my early days.
