There is also Microsoft Ice and Hugin. I use both. Certain panos will work better in one or the other.

CB, one of the nice thing about AutoStitch is that it requires little user input and usually does a great job. On the other hand, that same lack of options and customization can mean that sometimes a pano doesn't work, and you either have to try and "trick" it, possibly doing sections at a time, or sometimes it just can't figure it out. As with HDR, having several options in your toolbox is always good.
Microsoft ICE is like that, super easy to use and can stitch every which way. Hugins is definitely more advanced. I think I need to try Autostich.
