Thanks! 99.9% of my bird shots are with the Sony A9 and 200-600mm+1.4TC. If you click on the photo, it will go to my Flickr page where the full exif is displayed. Normally I have it in manual with the shutter between 1000-2000 and apeture set at f9 (widest available with that lens at TC) and Auto Iso selected.

Itsed65 and I both belong to a railfan website. He is famous for his creative super telephoto shots of trains in northern California in general and the East Bay in particular.

It is interesting how osprey always position the fish head first after they catch it in order to make it more aerodynamic.

It's also interesting that the males normally eat the head before bringing the rest back to the nest. This is mom, so she brought the whole fish back to feed the rapidly growing chicks. It's hard to tell from this view but that bass in dang near as big as her.

The males will lay the fish over a branch and "fillet" it before delivering it to the nest. Sometimes a female sitting on the nest will get impatient and start chirping.
