The second most photographed barn in Wyoming. If you know the Grand Tetons, you know about "Mormon Row". You've also undoubtedly seen photos of the "Moulton Barn". What you may not realize, if you haven't visited the site, is that there are two barns remaining. T.A. Moulton Barn, "the most photographed barn in Wyoming" and the John Moulton Barn, just to the north of it, "the second most photographed barn in Wyoming"
The T.A. Moulton barn is a bit more popular, since you can park really close to it and it's a very short walk. It's the one you see the most photographs of. However, the John Moulton barn has one advantage. There's an open field in front of the barn, rather than the roadway that passes in front of the T.A. Moulton Barn. That means you can get further away and still get a clean shot. This distance allows you to zoom a bit and "pull in" the mountains, making them a more dramatic part of the scene.
I visited last fall, and after location scouting the night before, got up pre-dawn to be at the John Moulton Barn for sunrise. I wasn't disappointed.
