Virginia Rail

PNWPhotos.com a friendly and growing community of photographers with an interest in the Pacific Northwest region. We feature a Photography Discussion Forum and Pacific Northwest Photo Gallery. It's a fun and friendly place to talk with other photographers, ask questions, share you knowledge, view and post photos and more!

Yesterday late afternoon, I came across this little guy. I could hear him, but he wouldn't show him self. So I came back at dawn this morning and there he was. He didn't even seem to mind having his picture taken. Not the first Rail I have seen this year, first one that I managed to photograph though. R.J

Good catch. One of the most difficult birds to spot and photograph, which is why I call them the Phantom of the Marsh.
