    Mountain Goats in Western WA?

I've seen mtn goats several times in the Tipsoo Lake area, which is just west of the Chinook Pass summit. Drivable and a short, flat hike around the lake.

    The Elusive Rainbow Owl

Nice capture! I saw one of these guys one year ago today, and have had good luck calling them in with "Night Fever."

    Mountain Goats in Western WA?

Do you mean bighorn sheep? I've never seen Mtn goats in the Yak River Canyon, though plenty of bighorn. Not meant to imply you don't know your ungulates :) Every time I've hiked Mt Elinor, there are Mtn Goats near the top. Definitely close enough for shots with a good tele. Elinor is near the...

Yesterdays shoot with 2 great models.

Nice series. I agree with the "barbed wire out the ear" assesment. I like that they look natural, they don't have the somewhat fake, brushed look in their faces that seems to be popular these days. Some people just aren't smiley, and maybe that's the case here. Forcing smiles might look too...

Whooo, whooo are in the woods?

    Beautiful shots!

Golden Eagle vs Elk - Caution, graphic nature image

Wow! Good stuff. I was there on Sunday and just didn't have the lense power to get good shots. Took a walk up the access road and saw loads of elk and bighorn sheep. We were amazed at the size of the golden eagles, they seemed to dwarf the baldies. Again, great stuff! Oak Creek East of White...

introduction and some photos from a new guy.

I wonder if it's common to take so many shots, and be happy with so few? I'm in the same boat as you on this sounds like. Since I got my new camera 9 weeks ago I've taken about 2500 shots and like, maybe, 5 of them. But, I am having loads of fun. You've really got something here. I look forward...

introduction and some photos from a new guy.

Outstanding composition! I've been into photography about as long as you, but have yet to get up the nerve to post anything. Good on ya! These are very nice. Thanks for sharing.

First Stab at Dog Agility Photography

What a fun series! Composition makes it clear that dogs are the stars of each shot. The only distracting element for me is the bright yellow tunnel. It seems to snatch some attention from the dogs who share the frame with it. But, not much you can do about huge tunnels at an agility event. Very...

    Stream of Consciousness

Beautiful color and texture. Love the artistry in such a simple scene. I've officially "liked" it on FB.

    Hello From Portland, OR

A sleek, black single speed, nicely lit and captured. Wow!

    A Church - HDR

I'll try: When you first looked at the church, and decided to photograph it, did you picture something "more" than what presented itself to you at the time? Did you have a sense that HDR would illuminate that "more" in just the right way? Or maybe you were just experimenting, and I'm looking for...

    A Church - HDR

Wow! Nice. I've just been reading about HDR. Amazing how layering can bring out such luminocity. I'm curious if this is what you pictured when setting up the shot(s)? Such impressive artistry.

    Fern Canyon #1

Nice lighting on these! I love the delicate greens against the darker backgrounds.

Shhh, Day Sleeper. . . do not disturb.

Great shot! We've had a Great Horned in and around our place for a couple of weeks, but I haven't gotten a good opportunity to photograph...just love owls.
