    Scotts Mills Park

I used to live near Mt Angel, but its been a long time since I've been down there. Awesome looking park though so maybe I need to go back. I like your exposure, the smoothness of the water and the trees in the foreground. The fall colors jump out too. Both are nice shots. I think the...

Some of my favorite photos from 2013

Baseball photos are fun to take but I think I enjoy being outdoors on a sunny day with the sounds of the game as much as anything. As long as the parents behave that is :) I have to attribute the seagull detail to the power of the Nikon D4 image sensor. I couldn't have pulled that shadow...

    Best of 2013

Excellent photos Max and good luck with continued sales. You continually find great ways to compose your photos of animals which adds to the artistic look of the images. I also like your framing of animals like the shots like the owl flying from the nest.

    Rocky's faves from 2013

All great photos as usual. I like the creek and mountain photos especially, oh and I'm jealous of your osprey picture too ;)

    Portland at Night

I've been to that exact spot a couple times... good location I really like your fourth photo. Good drama, positioning and exposure IMO.

    Chevrolet Equinox at sunset

Exactly, I struggled with this a little. I actually thought about cutting and removing a section of the picture in PS but I chose to use the rule of thirds to position the car and left the sunlight out of "balance"... next time moving the car back to put both "subjects" at ideal space will work...

    My Little Town

Good pic and poem. I wish we had more of the small town atmosphere to raise our kids in nowadays :D

    Chevrolet Equinox at sunset

Thanks Bill, I've found the location plays a part in the success of blending photos. I try to move the subject below the horizon for example. I have used this location for a few of them and it seems to work great. Here is a HS senior and his restored Mustang, a family car that has been in...

    Chevrolet Equinox at sunset

I like the idea of dodging the front tire. Good idea. I had a CP on the lens and it cut out some of the glass glare but not all of it. Maybe I didn't have it rotated right?

    More birds
