    What I learned about flyball.

    luckily I only shoot a few tournaments a year, the noise is something else :) great shots, love the way you tie them into your story thanks for enduring another darkybarky day! racingroses is next then herding and hunt trials!!!

    Jake, imagine shooting a bird (or bug) in flight ... what are your optimal conditions? - you'll want the fastest shutter speed possible to have the least amount of blur in the wings - you'd want the deepest dof you can get, so you have both the head & the tail in focus (or recognizable) to...

    Jake Pre-focusing doesn't help much, because, to get sharp images at such a slow shutter speed we must lock on & pan, if we shoot when something passes thru a focal plane, at 1/200th or so, our keeper rate drastically drops below acceptable. we use AI Servo, multi burst (avg 3 shot bursts)...

    no, I don't want sun, and the only times I'd pass thru would be first thing on a Friday morning (if a show has a noon start) or late Sun aft/eve ... so knowing the conditions before I get there would be of help LOL

    I was petting that #2 dog, his name is Oliver, and I don't think I could own one, their hair is sooo long & silky, it looks like it could mat easily, must be a grooming nightmare ... but they are cute to look at LOL
