    Thursday at Juanita Bay. The resident pair of eagles were hunting Coots. The eagle timed its strike just as the Coot was coming up for air.

    A Sunrise

    Every year we have six or so spectacular sunrise and sunsets. This was crafted at my favorite for sunrise. Magnuson Park. I was using a 60D at the time and can be very noisy. Topaz Denoise really cleaned the picture up. I have always loved this set of photos and just being awed at natures...

    Lessors in Mist

    There were less, lessers yesterday than a week ago. There were about a dozen eagles and half dozen hawks . A flock of pintails and some cinnamon teals. Had to wait for the gate to open and was 31 degrees at the parking lot. beautiful day it turned into.

    Thanks Bill I find with the 7DII that your constantly trying to balance shutter speed with ISO. At Nisqually, Your lucky to get birds less than 1/4 mile from your position.

    Eagle in the Pre-Dawn

    Thank You, I have found that a full frame has more tolerance with upping the EC. The 7DII was the first that I could really use EC for getting proper exposer. The photo of the Eagle was in very low light with no sun rise, just cloudy. Here is a picture of Cranberry Lake when I first arrived. R.J
