    Wednesday afternoon (6-17-2020) I practiced birds in flight shots from my back deck using the 1DxII + 100-400L II telephoto zoom. Peregrine falcon. I saw two soaring in the distance, but only one flew past my house. Violet-green swallows. One caught a bug and scratched its face in flight.

    My "walk & stalk" package is the Canon 100-400L II telephoto zoom + 1DxII. I very seldom use a teleconverter with it as it slows the auto focus too much for my liking, especially when photographing birds in flight. What is your camera body?     The males will lay the fish over a branch and "fillet" it before delivering it to the nest. Sometimes a female sitting on the nest will get impatient and start chirping.

    The hummer was back Monday afternoon (6-8-2020). It made a pass at the feeder but did not stay. Back at my neighbor's flowers. Note the pollen on its bill.

    Itsed65 and I both belong to a railfan website. He is famous for his creative super telephoto shots of trains in northern California in general and the East Bay in particular.
