    Stylin' cedar waxwing

    Can they control their crest? Cockatiels, a common pet bird, can control the feathers on top of their hear. If that was a Cockatiel, that would be the "See how big and tough I am?" look. They make themselves look larger by lifting up those feathers. I wonder if waxwings do the same thing?

    I attended Payne Field Aviation Day 2018 and had a nice time. They flew the warbirds for about an hour, and that allowed for some really nice photos. The light kept changing, but we had a lot of filter sun which worked really well.

    You can't get that shot any more, at least not from where Bonnie shot. That's one of the properties that put up No Trespassing signs. It will be interesting to see how that works out as eagle season progresses this year. I'm not sure how aggressive they'll be about enforcing them.

    As far as I’m aware, you can walk onto the beach in front of the causeway, but it’s really not conducive to walking out much distance at all. In my opinion, the elevation and extra view you get from the road outweighs the 50 feet closer you might get on the beach, unless the eagles were closer...

    The 5:00 Run on Saturday and the dinner trains go to Ruth (Curtis), The afternoon trips only go to Milburn. It's a fun line to "chase" and with top speeds of 10 MPH you can easily get multiple photos as it heads out the line.
