    That's mine!

I was reading a newly published book on birds (wife is a bit of a birder) which said a certain bird was never seen in this area. It claimed the nearest area was many hundreds of miles away. I read this as I was watching half a dozen of them attack our bird feeders. :D Pops

    Had to "Gorge" myself

Every one of the study sheets I give my students has the following: "Look for pictures to take, but don't forget to SEE." Pops

    just another maple leaf...

Very nice. Tha only thing I might do is clone out the white under the right hand of the leaf. Then again, after doing so, I just might go back to the original. :D Pops

I was expecting a longer exposure, also. Particularly as the CP was mentioned. Nice shot. Pops

some from "Round Enging Day" at Paine Field

Love those old radial engines. I worked electronics (comm and nav) on DeHavilands while in the Army (long ago and far away) and truely enjoyed the thunder of them. Some of the choppers we worked on had them, also. Pops

This is the place to learn. Welcome to the fun. It would be interesting to know what camera equipment you have procured, and what subject matter interests you. Pops

    The Gorge trip

Stocking foot waders don't weight nearly so much and work quite well with a pair of light hikers to cover the soles. The beauty of this activity is that you can get away with the really cheap ones, as you aren't using them all day for many days, as you would if seriously fishing in them. Pops

A quiet refuge in the city.

I love shooting at our Japanese Gardens, but it is pretty small, just yet. Pops

    Help with ID Mystery Bird

Robin which swapped wings with a Warbler? :D I'm not finding anything just like this an any of our books. Beak, body, shape and tail are Robin. Wing coloring, stripes and shape are Warbler. Hmmmmmmm I'd submit that, along with some flying shots and a description of hunting habits to the...

    Newby

One of the fora I moderate gets quite active, at times, because of the politics of today. Another is spread world wide and thus stays pretty quiet (boring?) Makes for and interesting mix. :D I think I'd get more sleep, were I a moderator here. ;) Pops
