    Ear Today . . . gone tomorrow.

No ear makes for a blue bunny. :(

    Willamette Valley Morels

:D LOL!! Funny!!!! Beautiful shots...great color. It still surprises me how many people up here find and are brave enough to eat mushrooms up here. Even if it looked like a photo in a guidebook, I think I would still be too afraid to try one.

    Great Horned Owls???

Thanks for the ID confirmation guys. I didn't want to call them something they weren't. Mike, I got a couple of him yawning. The best shot of course, somehow someway did NOT take in RAW. All the shots before/after did and naturally it was the most underexposed. Grrrrr. Nothing like an...

    Great Horned Owls???

Had to cancel our plans to go north to Nisqually because of funding (our computer is in the shop). We ended up in Ridgefield being as it is just a short skip up the freeway from here (literally, just 4 exits away). I got to see a pair of very large owls; cinnamon teals, buffleheads, nutria...

    Nisqually NWR

Last minute changes. We have to have work on our computer done. It went to the shop today. No trips north planned as that is eating up the money I had planned on using for gas. Next time.

    Nisqually NWR

Rocky, if someone were to drive 3 hours north to see the park, what would their chances of finding a wood duck be? I have never seen one and would like to....we are discussing a trip north if it is a decent enough probability (let's say one in four visits verses one in fifty).

    want fries with that?

The fish that got away....well...err...got swallowed too quickly. :D Still a neat shot.

    those eyes!

Very interesting seeing those eyes up close and personal. I never noticed them on the cormorants I had seen before.

Arizona Monsoon Storm at Sunset off Fort Rock Rd / Meadow Lake

I often camped in Arizona in August while chasing Monsoon storms and trains for my vacation trips. One night we were treated to an amazing electrical storm IN the clouds. I shot this with a Sony DSC-R1 that has an in-camera color setting called "VIVID" (aka sRGB standing for...

    Abandoned Building shoot

Excellent choice of location for her. My favorites were definitely the last two. In fact, that last shot for me is the WIN shot. Nicely done.

    Flowers in the Gorge

EXCELLENT capture on that sparrow. What are those purple flowers in your third shot? Thanks for the ID on the grass widow!!! We saw those in the gorge and got shots of them last weekend. Couldn't ID them.

    Nisqually NWR

Nice set. I like the third shot. It appears Nisqually has much shallower spots/reed growth than much of Ridgefield's banks which would be great for all those wading birds.

    Hey Portland area peeps

Well, it isn't the street I was hoping. That was McLoughlin Blvd and those beautiful trees are Maples. Not flowering. Guess I will just stay in and weed out and sort photos on one of my portable storage drives. Noticed lots of shots I don't want/need on it the other night.

    Hey Portland area peeps

I heard there is a street in Portland or the surrounding area that has flowering cherry trees covering the entire road. Anyone know of such a street? If so, can you let me know? I *think* I might know where it is (between Vancouver and Oaks Park was a four lane boulevard with trees...

Playing with long exposure at Night

I think I agree with Bob. I would love to see more of the detail in them. They are beautiful. Especially the first two. Also, I think you live in the perfect area for nightshooting and am looking forward to seeing more.

    A Lily In Reflection

I have to avoid the lillies in the stores (ACHOOO!!!) but I could look at them all day here and enjoy them 100%. Beautiful work....and love the sense of humor on the shot to death image. it works.

    H2 Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh *Pictures*

You were shooting these with the 70*200? Awesome! Inspiring! I must learn this. It might help pass the time while I wait for these gray skies to go GO GO! :D Well done. I love the blue/green one and the red/yellow one just beneath it, most.
