I was bored and threw a black cover over our futon and took some shots of three of our family members. Sarah - Our old girl that we adopted in February. She has some special needs (being between 8 to 10 years old). She has hip dysplasia, arthritis, bone spurs on her lower back, and allergies...

    Hello to all! : )

Hi Dani! I sent you a PM. Let me know if that is a nice enough critique on one of your images that I really liked. ;) By the way, I forgot to mention my grown son also owns a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 but for him, it is his main camera. He loves it and gets great results with his, too. :)

    Afternoon at Mt. Baker

Oh shoot. I didn't read anything on that in the reviews on the 77mm. Rats. I hope it isn't too big of a problem. Not after what I will be paying for it. THanks for the heads up guys.

    Afternoon at Mt. Baker

Mike, you are right. That is why the one in my shopping cart (just below the itchy finger) is the extra thin one made specifically for wide angle lenses. it is also why I hadn't bought it yet. It isn't all that cheap. *blush*

    Afternoon at Mt. Baker

Okay. I have a polarizer (multicoated circular B+W) sitting in my B&H Photo shopping cart, to purchase for my trip to the desert next month. You gone done and made me do it. Didn't you? LOL. I have some for my 'regular' lenses but am going to splurge and cover the wide angle I bought last...

    Oregon Coast Ideas?

I had two favorite spots on that same stretch of Tillamook through Florence. 1) http://www.takemytrip.com/07orcal/07_05a.htm That lighthouse, the agate beach and the wildlife there were great!!! 2) Another was a park that had water spouts where incoming tide shot water high against rocks and...

Log the log photo. In fact, I had no idea there was a Rialto in Washington. Now I know! Thanks. The picture in the post above isn't working. It says the photo is unavailable?

    Silver Falls

I am going to have to go north one of these days. However, I am missing the desert so much my next vacation is going to be much more to the south. Maybe next year I can see these falls in person. Is April a good time for them???

    Silver Falls

That is really interesting!! I really like the hardness of the two rocky sides verses the long exposure water effects. That is amazing. Wow! :D Question though (and I truly hope you don't mind my asking) - Did you use an HDR software on the sky area? There is some haloing I am not used to...
