    Went to NW Trek yesterday with a friend, had a lovely afternoon, and got photos of some animals that aren't birds! Gasp! But fun nonetheless... all shot with Canon 7D Mk II and Tamron 16-300 lens.. Pet the kitty!

    Went out to Tokeland a couple of days ago hoping to find the godwits again. They were not to be seen, but I did get an unexpected photo op with a pair of pigeon guillemots in the inner harbor. Hadn't seen one of those for a couple of years, so it was a nice treat to photograph them again.

    I'm guessing yellowlegs. Dowitchers have shorter legs and chunkier bodies. and aren't usually quite so white on the undersides.

    Went to a nearby park this afternoon to see if the kestrel fledglings were still in the area... alas, they appear to have left the building, as I could find no sign of juveniles or parents in over two hours.
