I didn't start photographing trains until recently. I wish I had started earlier. I have a vew shots of train cars on the tracks in McCloud and one of the "Pumpkin Train" which they still run but it's not a steam train and not very aesthetic. None of the shots were good enough in my opinion...

I believe the McCloud steam train is gone...sold I believe. Sad to see live steam history slipping away.

Thank you Leia....and you are correct this train was the Blue Goose before it became Yreka Western Railroad before it became dormant.
You will note I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt as to where you were going with "goose - goose."

I'm new to the site so just getting around to check out some of the images. This is a beautiful location and great shot Rocky. Did you use a ND filter to slow the shot?
