Haha. You bet I am! I played in a little bluegrass duo for quite some time. Fun short story- My bandmate and I were driving a load of trash to the local dump one day, when we saw a guitar body leaning up against the rail. Someone was obviously trashing it. We took a look and realized that...

I appreciate the art behind it, Chuck. And...you'll never go wrong with a photo of a Martin!

Nice, Shadow! I have a few similar to this, as well, but I wanted to let Digital Latte post his before I stole anymore of his thunder than I already did :) Gratci, Leia. That bridge connects the Delta Ponds to Willagalespie road, I believe. You won't miss it if you drive down the short...

:) Thanks, Showcase. I REALLY like shooting at night. There's so much you can do with night light; painting the sky, streets, and lighting up subjects with whatever you find available. Thanks for the compliment, bro. Mucho appreciated!

Here's one more from that night. I initially didn't post this image due to the blown out highlights in the background, but, oh well. I really like the composition of this image, and that "halo" above the ride is pretty cool, I think. Canon 20-35mm @ 23mm, ISO100, 1 sec @f5

LOL. Thanks, Janice. Yeah, that "Gravitron" is quite the alien design. I have some cooler shots of it, but I'd like to give Digital Latte a chance to post his first. He was the one who spotted this ride and was really amped to shoot it. I just stole his idea. Thanks, Showcase. I added the...

A pal and I went out with the intention of solely shooting the new bridge over Delta Highway, last night, and caught a small carnival in the mall parking lot still up and running... barely ;) I came away with a few nice neon images... enjoy :) Canon 20-35 mm @21mm, ISO400, 10sec. @ f20...

    Synchronized Swimming

The waterfowl Olympics are tainted. It's obvious that these two are hopped up on quack. And weeds, as Janice pointed out ;)

    GreenBridge

Thanks, Janice. I'm glad you see the magic glow. The water being so muddy actually helped that effect, I think. I wish I could have backed up even more, to catch the ends of the bridge, but I was as far back as I could be, which was only about 3 ft away. Thanks for the comment :)

Shoot. I don't know "Elements" at all. I use Cs3... Look for a selective color tool in your search bar, maybe.

    Spring Storm

Gorgeous, Steve. The warm glow of the grass against the cold blue of the hills is super dramatic. I love the horizontal crop, as well. Killer :)

    McSorley Creek

Beautiful, Rocky. It looks like a forest rainbow! One super small detail that REALLY makes this work for me; the few rocks of the shoreline on the lower left. That really brings the image back down to earth. Well done!

    GreenBridge

Within the city limits of Eugene, I found this dilapidated foot bridge, crossing the headwaters of Amazon Creek. I saw the shot I wanted when I first glimpsed at the bridge, but in order to get the snap I had to take my shoes off, and climb into the creek with my tripod, ducking 'neath a...

    Spring Flowers in B&W

Showcase. I'm right there with you bout the wall in 2. I think the juxtaposition is interesting. Janice- lol. Try working out the cramp with som sudoku... ;) to be even more specific- when choosing the whites, I dropped the black. This tool also works really well for temperature changes to...

    red-tail BIF

Rocky- lolol! I must have either been really tired or a little tipsy when I wrote that response. Haha. I saw the Atlanta Falcons logo in my brain and then typed Philly. I promise I know the difference between an eagle and a hawk! Lol. Anyhoo, you have a great image here. You have inspired me to...

    Spring Flowers in B&W

One more thing that I just noticed. In number 3, the hard shadows of the blossom's stamen REALLY stand out on the petals. It really adds a ton of interest and makes the image a little more dynamic, to my eye. I wasn't quite sure of exactly what it was about that photo that was really speaking...

    Spring Flowers in B&W

Hey, Christena. Might I add- I didn't actually use the contrast adjustment in Photoshop. What I did was - Image > Adjustment > Selective Color. Then I upped the black in the blacks, and the whites in the whites. There are TONS of ways to do this sort of thing, but I really like having control...

For such a large crop, this is still nice and sharp! Super! Philadelphia's football team would be jealous!

    Enjoying the sunny day

Fantastic! That Canada pict is phenomenal! The mallard is gorgeous, as well. The water is epic. His face is a little shadowed, but still a great shot. Well done! :)
