    Double-crested Cormorant

    They, along with Caspian Terns, have become rather controversial on the Columbia River. They have found some great nesting sites on man made islands created as a result of dredging and now are a problem for small salmon returning to the sea.

    I hope this year as good as what is represented here. Hard pressed to pick my favorite, but I'm voting for the Osprey. What a catch . . . for him and you. RIP Zachary, may you roam in catnip fields forever. If you get a chance say hello to some of my buddies while you are there.
