    We are in the middle of the iris season and you might consider visiting Schreiner's Iris Gardens. Located in Brooks, Oregon, just north of Salem. A selection of photos from my morning visit on Wednesday. (5/14/14)

    Good advice, Chad. So here is an update. Thinking they would be gone, I could not resist paying them a visit. How quick they grow up. One still remains in it's nest, one is branching and the third is making clumsy flights through the forest. Lucky for them there is one owl per owlet keeping...

    I sure wish we'd get some sun. I'm getting tired of all this low light under the canopy and the deciduous trees are now starting to leaf out. For me the owl season is winding down.
