Poor little guy. And one is quite a bit inside of his ear. :( I hope they drop off soon.

    Yet more Edmonds Eagle Shots

Fantastic action shots of those eagles.

    My first eaglet of 2014

Not a great shot. Not even an intentional shot. I was in the Tualatin River National Wildlife refuge and was shooting a slash burn on the far hills. And to my surprise, after uploading my card I found an eaglet has hatched. Woohoo. NOt my best shot but fun just the same. Show me your first...

    Curly Creek Falls

That is very true. That is why I feel it is best to shoot with a tripod and have three different exposures, layer them and merge them by hand, the old fashioned way.

    Digiscoping again

If you have a spotting scope there are lots of instructions on the net on how to build one yourself. It's pretty cool really. Just google.

    Curly Creek Falls

I have found onboard HDR to be a little lacking when it comes to performance but good in a pinch. Are you using Photoshop or Lightroom?

    Curly Creek Falls

It's incredibly hard to get those perfect waterfall shots on a sunny day. You did the best you could with the light you had. Unless you have a tripod and Photoshop so you can expose for the different regions and then merge them. Even then it is difficult.

    It's Owl Season..... Again

That's interesting to know how varied their diet is. Adaptable birds, which is why they are apparently overtaking the spotted owls.

    It's Owl Season..... Again

I so want to catch one of these.

    Rufous in the rain

I so rarely see these guys. Great shot.

I like how in many of your photos the birds are looking right at the viewer.

    GBH Homeowner's Association

I checked out the local Great Blue Heron rookery today. Much like all homeowner's trips have to be made for the occasional building supplies. And there is always the discussion about how to decorate. But like any condominium, you do have your neighbors living a bit close...

    It's Owl Season..... Again

Great shots everyone. Here is another local owl.

    It's Owl Season..... Again

It seems barred owls are pretty reliable when it comes to the places where they hang out. Lovely shots.

The GHOs in my neighborhood used to use an old crows nest. They have since abandoned it and are seemingly nowhere to be found. I saw mating barred owls last night. No photos but a whole lot of hootin' goin' on. :)

Window Watching - Birds Visiting My Gardens

    Love your backyard shots.

Are you tired of owls yet?

I agree with Bill. I think it is as much about the hunt. :)
