    Thanks for commenting, Cher. There are actually a couple of projects shooting in Portland this summer that need extras. It only pays minimum wage, but I think it might be fun for a day or two.

    Great shots, Bob! I especially like the last photo of the yawning tiger. Bob, you knew this topic would draw me in. I love the Oregon Zoo! Nice collection of animals, reasonably humane accommodations and a beautiful setting for visitors.

    Thanks all for the comments! I don't know, Bob, maybe I was there incognito :) . I used shutter priority mode - started at 15sec and ISO 200 (which I had used successfully in the past). I quickly discovered that I needed to reduce my shutter speed and settled at about 1/8 sec at ISO 400...

    I had originally set up on the Hawthorne Bridge (not knowing the bridge would be closed to pedestrians during the fireworks show). After being run off I found a place on the east bank that worked out great. I'll post a few more when I have a chance to process them.

    Beautiful work, Turk! What I especially like is that you've brought a unique vision to the cliched field of flowers shot. I particilarly like the first shot with the morning dew, the third with the sunrise over the field and (yes) the last with the ground fog and the misplaced bloom.
