    Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge

Thanks for the comments. I wasn't sure about the Nutria. I checked some other photos, and most showed a skinny rat tail, and this looked much broader. I figured it was only a portion of the broad tail of a beaver that was above water. Never did get much of a shot with the tail showing...

    Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge

My wife, youngest son and I, made our first visit to Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge this past Sunday. Got there sort of late in the afternoon, but it turned out to be a nice couple of hours. We were able to see and photograph some critters we'd not seen before. Shortly after starting...

QFC in Gig Harbor has about 4 more copies, you want me to get for you?

Trains Magazine - Polson Logging Co. No. 70 at Mineral, WA

Gee I'm a little late to the party. Congratulations Bob! Quite a bit deal! Wouldn't you know it, my March issue of Trains never showed up. Dropped by Tacoma Trains yesterday and gee surprise, surprise, all sold out. Finally found a copy at QFC. Looks great. How many copies did you buy?

    Rainier Lenticulars

I was there until just after sunset. Kept hoping it would turn in to something as spectacular as yours.

    Rainier Lenticulars

Amazing how different the same clouds look from different directions. Here's a view from the north. I was hoping the clouds would mover closer to Rainier, but they only moved slightly closer before dark.

    Miniature Look

I recognized the 123 as "not mine", mine, acutally Jacob's, has an engineer in the window. I did wonder where you took it. With a little motion blurr, N scale looks almost as good as HO.

First Stab at Dog Agility Photography

Appreciate the comment. Nearly each shot was cropped to remove some distracting element of the arena, or the dog's handler. I normally try to keep the subject out of the center of the frame, but somehow on these shots cropping for the above reasons, caused the dogs to be more centered then I...

First Stab at Dog Agility Photography

I used Lightroom 3 exclusively. All of the required, exposure adjustment (some near 2 stops), sharpening, noise reduction and of course cropping. I use a free export plug-in called Mogrify, that creates the frame, copyright and watermark.

First Stab at Dog Agility Photography

I embarked on Nina's training program this past weekend at the Rainier Agility Team event in Elma. Saturday's results were pretty nominal as I was limited to using my Canon 100-400mm f4.5-f5.6 lens. Most of the time I shot at ISO 3200 with my 40D, and while Lightroom 3 does an great job of...

Nina: Gig Harbor, but I get around all about the Sound.

You have some great shots! They've inspired me to try that someday. Love dogs, and for me that photograph better than people!
