    Lester can say what he want's :) and it comes down to who defines what "NEED" means and what authority the person has with whom you are speaking and I suspect the park ranger will feel they out rank Les. Sure you can tell the ranger to call someone but I suspect that would fall on deaf ears.

    I's say your subjects have what in the portrait business we call "raccoon eyes" :) I think on the first one I'd crop out the three critters on the left as they are obscured too much. None the less I think I'd title this one "Family Outing".

    Right place at the right time with the right light and right lens makes for a great shot. :) I must say though that what ever kurfuffle she got into to make her left ear like that must have hurt.

    Lighting is good but pulling her left shoulder so that's shes more of a 45 degree angle to the camera would improve the pose.

    Of course you realize the the quality of the image one views on the web is only as good as the monitor your are using. I suspect that this quality is far below that which the camera is able to produce. :)

    Yeah, a little more space in front of his nose. You don't need the entire snake for people to know and appreciate what is in the photo.

    Not much to C&C on the shot itself. The setting is good, the DOF is good. If anything the colors could be made to pop more in PS.
