    Hot Rod Show!!!! CC's Okay

Car shows are tough but you did a good job keeping the people and other clutter out. The wide angle and detail shots work great.

    My new neighbor

Got the seating cards all made out, placed right there between Mr. Potato Head and that Sweat young Yam thing. Not to worry about the cold since there'll be plenty of hot gravy to cover them all up to keep them toasty warm. On the serious side, I wish I had 300mm with me as the 105mm max on...

    My new neighbor

This is my new neighbor, his name is Tom. Judging by the fact that I typically only saw the left side of him from the second shot I suspect he doesn't care much for me. Not to worry though. My plan is to butter him up and have him over for a nice Thanksgiving dinner. :D

    Oak Harbor

Deception Pass - great sun sets any time of the year. Lots of other creative things to shoot there too. Could spend all day in the parks on both sides of the pass. Fort Casey - nice old fort circa 1900 with an old light house and vintage large guns.

    Eagles in Western Washington?

its all in the luck of timing. Last year at this tim I went to the upper Skagit to shoot the eagles and got squat. Heading south on 530 from Rockport to Darrington you cross a creek. As I approached the bridge I spy some one standing there with a rather large white lens on his camera. I slow...

Getting out of my comfort zone

Yep... it's in the street so it's street shooting. :) Love the people blurred in the foreground, gives it depth.

    Having trouble focusing accurately

At least you didnt say it was your only problem. :) yes in some portrait situations it can be an issue depending on many different variables. It can be an issue in other genres as well. Depends on many things though.

    Having trouble focusing accurately

I switch to MF for this reason all the time. There are times there's no focus point where I needed it or the lens/camera just wont cooperate, or it just wont lock onto a point. At times the focus lock wont do the trick since you actually end up changing distances when you move the camera and...

    Having trouble focusing accurately

Yep... old MF trick if using a zoom - zoom in fully, focus, then zoom out to taste. However, my first thought was that which Bob mention - check the diapter adjuster by the view finder.

    Who...

I have to confess.. it was a captive on exhibition in a shopping area of York. I had to clone the tether out.
