    Alex- outdoor portraits

    Good light in her eyes in all shots. She should not have her photo taken in sleeveless outfits like this. IN 1 & 2 the fact that she is sleeveless and the shoulder pointed into the camera only makes her size look bigger. I think she is slouching in the last 2, for sure in the last one...

    I'd say graphic coolness. :) Love the last one with the light and color in the eyes like that. Great rim lighting too.

    The photo's in the provided link are pretty good for the street PJ (Photo Journalism) but there is some room for improvement. The problem is you have a couple of dozen photo's there so way to many to comment on, plus many people won't follow a link. Best bet would be to post 1 or 2 and get...

    Yep, if you want your friends to stay your friends you don't have them shoot your wedding. I got a call one Wednesday to shoot a wedding that Friday cuz the "friend" couldn't do it now. Talked to another photog who did a wedding cuz the "friend" who was going to do it decided to go camping...

    I'm seeing double with spots.

    Have you tried cleaning your sensor lately. While these spots don't have the exact same look as sensor dirt you might give that a try. Since the spots seem to float and follow the subject maybe you gave dust bunnies in the camera. ???

    Both are good so it may just come down to personal preference. I'd crop at his chest though as his legs coming thru the foreground is bothersome. Keep the same space at the top though.

    Yesterdays shoot with 2 great models.

    #1 has a post coming out of the top of his head and barbed wire out of his ear. Also needs light in his eyes. Pose is good. #3 - angle her by pushing her left shoulder back. 5 & 6 - I don't think the selective color is working. If the frame were suspended instead of holding it with hands...

    I'll just comment on the first two. #1 - that baby is lost. The eyes are drawn to the light areas in a B&W image and here it is mom. Plus with the baby in that position s/he gets lost. The predominant area of a portrait is what is closest to the lens. Here that is moms bright bare...

    I figured there may have been something out of sight that necesitated the angle of the shot. It just feels out of balance to me. Maybe a different crop getting rid of some of the space on the left.

    My suggestion on the table and chairs is to move camera left some. Use the pine tree in the fore ground and the flowering tree to frame the subject. As it is the chair is outside of the natural frame.

    True there Bob. I do wonder what will happen to the big 3 bulb farmers in the valley when the current owners get too old. The farms are now in the 2nd generation owners - I went to school with some of them :) Back then it was mom & dad running the farms, no tulip festival and the bulb barns...

    As a former valley resident I say Nuke the tulips! I had to go up there Sat and at about 10:45 there was a 3 mile back up on I5. By 12:30 I'd guess it had grown to about 8 miles. Just not worth it to me. I'm glad I know the back roads to where I was going. If you must tulip then the best...

    Actually I thought the dog on the left got a great left hook onto the dog on the right. :) Great timing and shot.
