    ID this eagle.

Yep, it was actually an article on the eaglets committing "frattercide" for complete dominance in the "pecking order". Kind of gross but the way things go. I was trying to figure out what the fuzzy banded things were.

    ID this eagle.

YEP, darn toot'n' they are definitely EAGLES!
  3. arlinescott

    ID this eagle.

And, this is a photo of a young Baldy with a black beak and the darker eyes of a Golden. Really not making this any easier.
  4. arlinescott

    ID this eagle.

Here is a photo from your guide Bob showing white on the chest and wings of a young eaglet. This is a tough one and unfortunately, they probably won't be here long enough to know for sure.

    ID this eagle.

Yellow beak is a Baldy, yellow and black or grey are Goldens. I checked with a former Park Ranger that I know in Yellowstone and he confirmed the ID. He said it is getting more common to see Goldens on this side of the Cascades during migration now since they seem to be following other flocks...

    Mountain Goats in Western WA?

I love it when others show their not so stellar photos. Makes me feel better about the 98.95% of photos I don't share. But in this case, I do the same as you can tell by the eagle photos in another thread.

    Coyote Series

We will have to make a "roadtrip" Christine.
  8. arlinescott

    winter hummer

Oh, he is a cute one. I see some grain, but not enough to make the photo undesirable. If anything, I think it highlights the bird and the feeder.

    a few past photos

Although, come to think of it, that is the name of a cleaning product. Orange Glow, who knew they grew produce themselves, huh?

    a few past photos

Um... Christine... Not sure that the orange is ok for consumption if it is glowing... Is that fresh from Chernoble? lol

    Crown Zellerbach Trail

Ah, I thought so... Noisy little buggers too!

    Crown Zellerbach Trail

Jeremy, is that last bird a predator or a large hummingbird? You know, the big metal one with the wings on top?

    Borst Park?

    Motor Bike

You could enter this in the self portrait contest even if you are upside down. Seriously though, this photo really did beg to be in black and white. Very nice!

    Guess who got the cover?

    Congratulations Jan! Very exciting news!
  16. arlinescott

    oldie but goodies..

I like the second one as well. I wonder what it would look like with a little HDR?

    New York

I have actually let it sink in a little more and think it makes a great statement. Something to the effect of "We are not afraid! We will rebuild!".
  18. arlinescott

    New York

I thought so too... I was trying to decide between eerie or defiant?

    New York

Thanks Eric. I can't wait to see what I can discover there. I think I might need a couple, or a couple dozen additional 16g cards.
