    Nina's 2013 in Review

Nina oh how you have been missed. Looks like you are keeping busy. Your shots are great and have a light hearted quality. I think my fave is January, it made me laugh! Good to see your work!

What a difference a few feet make.

I agree with Janice. The contrast brings out the details.

    Welcome John!

What a difference a few feet make.

I like the second shot best. More mysterious and intriguing.

    Eagles LIVE

Thanks all! These were on the Nooksack at Mosqito Lake Rd. The numbers are down but still plenty to look at. I was maybe 50 to 75 yards away from most of these using my lowly 70-300mm lens.

    Eagles LIVE

I normally don't do birds, long story short, they frighten me. No really! However, there is something about the Eagle that intrigues me. I have been trying for a while to catch some in flight. I think I'm getting there, what do you think?

    Rocky's faves from 2013

Terrific shots Rocky. From the looks of things I think our Shuksan shots were taken about the same time of year. Love the Osprey shot!

    Portland at Night

Mike, I like the lightened up version of the first shot. I nearly missed the boats the first time I looked at the picture. I think it's a great addition to the foreground.

    alien

I like it Rocky. If you turn it on end it looks like some strange deer head.

    Portland at Night

Mike, I like the first, fourth, and fifth shots really well, but I feel more cropping is needed on the fourth shot. The other two have too much extra background light. Maybe if the backgrounds were darker the colors of the lights would pop more.

    Love the old buildings there.
