Comment by 'Twick' in media 'Willamette #2'

A crossing between Elbe and Ashford. A bridge was washed out or damaged during the floods a few years ago. It has been replaced/repaired and the MRSR (Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad) is now back using their original route.

    Beach Get Away

Its not what I meant at all. Just pointing out that it was a good place to stop for a drink and that the proprietors of Chito Beach Resort were busy. Next time I'am up that way we will stop to say Hey.

    Beach Get Away

We had a chance to get away for a few days in August, after a hectic first part of the month. We decided to head North up the coast. Due to a late start (guess who) we made our first real stop at Second Beach, Kopachuck. As we entered the forested path leading to the beach I was struck by these...

After one of the thunderstorms rolled through our area, out came the camera. First a few shots from the driveway. Then I shot a few more on the way into work.

The neighbor and I have been seeing this bird around the yards for about a week. Is it a Robin with different markings or something else?

    Washington Orcas by Wylund

    Washington Orcas by Wylund

This wall mural was dedicated about twenty years ago, and is beginning to fade. Looks as though some restoration work is needed, but I wouldn't count on the City of Tacoma to get it done. The mural is located in a parking lot on 9th and A, across from the Russell building.
