    Those sheep over on the Grande Ronde are California big horn sheep that were introduced in the late 70's, you can see them almost any day along the river all the way up to Troy, Ore.. Unfortunately the herd is down 30-40% from a high of just over 100 animals because of deaths from pneumonia...

    Here's some of the bighorns you can see at Oak Creek by pulling off on the side of the road anwywhere from the east end of Rimrock Lake down to the sheep feeding station at Hwys 12 and 410.

    Hree's the biggest problem with trying to find mountain goats in Western Washington. In the spring they move up to elevations over 5,000 feet. There are only a few exceptions where you can drive or easily walk to get to those locations. They also prefer areas that are not easy for us to walk...

    Yikes it has been cold.

    But at least I got some sunshine today which helped to light the frost on everything out in the yard. Taken with the 100mm macro at anywhere from 6" to 12" away, even at f32 that's only .36 for the area in focus.
