A Bunch of Hot Air . . . Balloons that is.

Looks like fun. I keep telling myself I'm going to get to one of these events but something always comes up. Several years ago while competing in shotgun events at the Tualitan gun club I woke up early in the morning to a giant cow balloon flying by... I chalked it up initially to having...

    Yard birds

Seems like I have only had a chance to shoot photos of the birds in the front yard lately. Been spending too much time running the wife back and forth to the hospital up at the UW, but that's a whole nother story for a different day. the grosbeaks, finches, jays and many other birds have...

    Wildlife Safari, Winston Oregon

Looks like a nice fun day to visit and get some pictures. I've never stopped there, always kept on going down the freeway when I came to that exit. One of these days...

Yesterdays shoot with 2 great models.

In several of the pictures there are dark shadows in the eyes, under the brows that a reflector would really help out. This might also lighten the dark brooding mood in some of the pictures.

Greetings from just South of Seattle!

Welcome Kim. It looks like you have a pretty good idea of what to do on a computer. Hopefully you can share some photos and other tips with us.

    marsh wren

They are quick little targets to try and track, you did well to get this one without being set up in a blind.

    Birds in the yard.

Well all my ambition to get anything done today left about 4.5 miles into my 5 mile run this morning, so I'm just sitting around and enjoying the sunshine while it lasts. Spent some time early this afternoon on the front step watching the birds in my dogwood trees. Sure will be nice when those...

    Northwest trek

NWT is the best when the weather is lousy. It makes the colors pop, the animals are more active, and the kids stay where it's dry.

    Lazuli Bunting

Cool. Now I need to keep an eye out for one of these at the feeder.

    Watch the birdie...

... actually quite a few of them. They were quite active in the front yard this morning so I only had to venture as far as the front step to get some shots of them.

    Wonderful start to May

Stopped for a few pictures on my way to work yesterday morning. It's about time there was something bright in the sky. Clear Lake, Eatonville with Mt Rainier in the background.

    Mrs. Red-Tail...

Nice shooting, I think the last two are the best of the bunch.

    Ear Today . . . gone tomorrow.

Uh oh... might have to raise the rating here to an adult one if you are going to be showing a peep show.

    They shoot horses don't they?

Looks pretty good for the first time out shooting horses. I'm not sure what you had for access, but look to try something where you can get low and shoot up at the horses. It might clean up the backgrounds a tad and it will also give the horses a more majestic look from that perspective.

    Ear Today . . . gone tomorrow.

I think it was Nick Cage who said "don't touch the bunny". Con Air
