thought i'd subject you to one more shot from my visit to Hurricane Ridge on Saturday. this one i feel really captures the feel of the place... the lush green hillsides, the wildlife, and the majestic views of the Olympics... i thought about doing this in a landscape format, but chose the portrait to give it more depth.

Very nice, and I agree, it's a great choice of format!
How many animals did you see when you were there? Obviously you saw at least one deer, but were there more? What about Elk?

no elk, but probably 25-30 deer, including half a dozen bucks of varying levels of maturity, from spikes to a 6-pointer. didn't see any marmots, which kinda surprised me... they used to be all over up there. maybe we were just there at the wrong time of day...
