    Youth sports questions

Newpaper images are considered "editorial" use and do not require a model release. A photographer that is working for themselves or a private company is considered "commercial" usage and a release is required. Tons of information on this online. Most stock agencies are now requiring model...

    Rex the snow dog

Thanks Nina. We just got back in from more playing in the snow. Clear but really damn cold out there today. The dogs don't seem to be effected by the windchill like I am.

    Rex the snow dog

Another round of snow and Rex was having a blast. Kona wasn't quite as enthusiastic and wanted to come back in long before Rex did. We ended up with about 8 inches yesterday. Most of it is still on the ground today and frozen solid! 20 degrees and windy here this morning. All of these were...

    Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge

The one and only (thanks to OJ) It goes busy as usual. Teaching 5 classes at the online school and still running the farm. Doesn;t leave time for much else as always. How about you? Looks like you are keeping yourself pretty busy too. And here I thought she was saying you had an 800mm...

Hello Daron and Tara! It's been a while! Let me know if you decide to head up one of these days. My schedule is pretty crazy but it would be fun to get out there and shoot again. Ron

    Rex the snow dog

Thanks Christena and Tony. It was snowing so hard when he was running around that I was having a hard time keeping the focus on him. That and the slow shutter speeds resulted in less sharpness than I would like but it looks like I'll get another chance later this week! Ron

    Rex the snow dog

I will let you know once I talk to Rex's breeder to see if they are going to be having any future litters. Here is the link to another breeder that I can highly recommend. They only have 2 litters a year and their "pet or companion" pricing is usually $500-$800...

    Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge

It's the same situation at Ridgefield. All of the blinds face into the sun. Obviously they weren't built by photographers! I love the 50-500mm. I had the original version and sold it several years ago which was a mistake. I recently picked up the new version with OS and it's even better but of...

    Rex the snow dog

I got him in Ridgefield. Not sure if they are going to have another litter or not. I should be hearing from them next week some time though and I will ask. Ron

    Rex the snow dog

Thanks everyone. Looks like he will get his wish for more snow again in a few days. At least HE will enjoy it! Ron

    Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge

Thanks for the info and link to the refuge. I have not been there before. Might have to go check it out one of these days. I live by Ridgefield NWR but the lighting always seems to be bad when I go there! Is that a 50-500mm I see? Ron
