Beautiful shots Ron, and a good reminder of what Memorial Day is all about. (Working retail, I just want to tell people that the reason they have the extra day off has nothing to do with sales at the mall!) Thanks for sharing.

You are so right about people needing realize what this day is all about!! So many have sacrificed so much in our behalf. When I go to a cemetery like this one, I just sit there and feel that I am among royalty! In the last picture, I had just sat on the edge of this plot watching this young man. He took some flowers and then just sat there for quite a while. He then got up and kissed the marker and then appeared to say a prayer and left. I went over to the marker after he left. It had to have been his grandpa. It was very moving and brought tears to my eyes.
