Sunday (10/4/15) my son and I were out photographing birds at some of our favorite locations near Puget Sound in northern Snohomish and southern Skagit counties. Mt Baker loomed in the background at most locales. I took some shots as I have never seen Mt. Baker with this little snow. The lack of snow is not apparent when the mountain is viewed from afar like the Edmonds waterfront, but it shows when seen from the closer proximity of the Skagit and Samish deltas.

Wylie Slough on Fir Island. From this angle, the bare, lower peaks appear as a "line in the rock" separating the snow/no snow zones.
The West 90 south of Samish Island.
