My husband and I just created our ultimate travel-the-world vehicle. "Livingstone" is a 4WD Ford 550 diesel with 100 gallon tank, a pop-up camper with water filtration system and 100 gallon storage tank, and a "garage" for our motorcycle and bikes. We tried it out a few weeks along the White Rim Road through Canyonlands National Park in Utah. (It would have more appropriately been named "White Knuckle Road!) Any suggestions for a title second photo?

quite the travel rig, though perhaps a bit large for some places. ;) i have a photo of a large camper on the same curve as your second photo, taken from the canyon rim... it'd be rather unnerving in a big ungainly beast, but for a smaller, more nimble vehicle like a jeep or something, it probably wouldn't be so bad.
