Fall colors blaze along a one-lane gravel road near Twisp, WA. The sun had just gone behind the mountains, and the foreground was in complete shadow when this image was made; it's a 3-shot HDR composite taken with my 40D and 17-35 @ 17mm. 3 frames were taken at +1.5/0/-1.5 EV from a 1/2 sec nominal at f/16, and processed using Photomatix Pro.

Rocky, this is another picture-perfect postcard.
I have fond memories of blowing a muffler coming into Twisp. If I had known it was this pretty, I would have got out my camera! ;) The colors you captured here almost make me long for fall.... Wait! What am I thinking? We just got over the longest winter in history. Shows the power of your photo. It is one of the most colorful, clearest, crispest on the board. Guess HDR really works, at least when you use it.
