    Shattered Memories - Cape Meares

Hmmm, the charges don't seem near harsh enough to the offense. If someone were to deface the "Mona Lisa" I would bet the charges would be tougher than vandalism. For most of us these would not be considered on the same level. Yet, the fresnel lens is a irreplaceable work of art and...

    Olympia Airshow

Really liked the last shot. I enjoy going to the living history events. Around here most of them involve Lewis and Clark, fur trappers, and the Civil War.

Tigard Festival of Balloons June 25-27

I've been watching the calendar on this one. I didn't realize there were so many other activities taking place around this event.

    Wahoo, hit the Jackpot.

Yes, that's it. Thanks for the reminder. On my list of places I'd like to shoot.

    Wahoo, hit the Jackpot.

Great shots, a step back in time. I've been trying to remember for weeks where this location is. I know it's a little two bars and a gas station type town west of Chehalis area??? but couldn't remember the name. Please tell us more.

    Waterfall on the McCloud River

That's an idea worth exploring, I have the same frustration with bracketing waterfall photos in HDR, (blown highlishts).

    cold spring sunset

I missed this one when it was originally posted a week and a half ago. But, it's agreat shot and worth revisiting. This comment will be bump it back up to the top. I have to agree with Bob. Disapointing? I think it's a great capture and composition.

    land ho!

Wow, you really did get the flash, before the smoke even appears. I can see why you put a watermark on this shot, rare!

So true! Nice timing on this shot Bob.

A quiet refuge in the city.

Well, you are certainly right about that, (waiting for people to clear the shot). I've done this so many times, waiting patiently, then as they move on someone else steps in. I didn't know about member only hours. That sure would make membership appealing.

A quiet refuge in the city.

Great shots Janice. I love this garden too. The only thing I don't like about the Japanese Gardens is the photography restrictictions, i.e.... pay for the use of tripod, no portrait photography allowed, must pay pro photographer's fee for comercial use of any photo taken. Although I do have...

    land ho!

Nice. Please don't misunderstand, but, I love shooting the Lady with my Canon! Was this shot over the weekend and where were you?

    Purple Finch

Great shots and a really extreme bokeh. Looks like a chromakey green screen.

    North Sound Nautical Pics

Great set of captures. Really like shot #2 in this collection. That's so funny, and true. 15 minutes of anonymous fame.

    Newby

Welcome Jason. Just wanted to say I like that last shot you posted with the Santa Fe engine. Always a big plus to catch them on a curve.

Great captures all around. Love #4, it's a classic.

Bald Eagle on my beach walk

Great shot Chito. You mentioned in an earlier post you were looking for the eagles. Looks like your patience and hunting paid off. What lens were you shooting with and how much did you crop. Appears that he may have been on a lower branch or perhaps you were on a hill, the angle doesn't look too...

    Maintenance Deferred

Good explanation you've given, (certain interest because when we see in old abandoned buildings our imagination tries to fill in the unknown history). I am always intrigued by ruins of any kind. Nice shots.
