Another Rose in B&W CC's ok

Agreed, but wonder if there's some blow out in the highlights? Could just be the sizing for the web posting.

    Southern Oregon Car Show 1

Great job... love the Ford in the first shot, it's got a great treatment to it.

    Rex the snow dog

The first one is great - says "come on... let's play".

    What a surprise

This does seem to exsmplfy the problem as I see it. There is no single agreed upon deffinition of the term, and no way to really quantify it. You can read website that try to define it and some disagree with others. Of course the websites, and the wiki is included in this, are just variouus...

    What a surprise

The problem with the term bokeh is that it was really made up a few years back and thanks to the net and the wiki it gets used more and more. It's even showing up in marketing material of the lens makers. Back up a few years and the material would talk about the quality of the blur produced by...

    What a surprise

at the risk of high jacking a thread, can you explain "bokah effect"?

    what is it?

Glad you explained it. Thought I was gonna' have to call the cops as I got in trouble growing something like that back in the 70's. :)

    Fern Canyon #1

An overcast day is a good thing for photos. The use of the light on these is great. The first and last ones are A+ on light usage and composition.

Shhh, Day Sleeper. . . do not disturb.

Nice shot of a Western Red Cedar, but there's something distracting in the middle of the tree. Maybe clean the lens. :D Well in a way you have taken a shot of one now.

    New Camera

Yep, me too about the water mark..... If you put it out of the way instead of right over the main subject then you should get more input.

    Tractor HDR

Oh... then you need to crop out that orange thing on the bottom. :)

    Tractor HDR

I think the HDR is fine, but way too much sky and the tractor seems to list to the left a tad.

    Winter prank

Yeah... some twisted idea of fun. Technically it's vandalism and we all pay for that since it's public money that has to right this wrong.

    What 'cha doin' up dare?

When into town today to do a few shots as part of my "Snohomish Project". This little guy was there for Groundfrog Day. Yeah, I cloned out the leash and owners foot. :)

    caution - elk crossing

Killer shot. :) This is one that both photographers and hunters long for. Is it a tad on the cool side though?

    Dobby the house elf.

Sorry... that light was off to my left. :)

    Dobby the house elf.

Actually it's Miss Daisy, but my daughter thought this fit the image better.:D I actually had a backdrop and AB800 off to my right set to do a little more formal shot. However Miss Daisy had a different idea and sat down behind me. I thought, what the heck just push the shutter and see what...

    A few from today

#1 - What is it???? The lock says it's small but the rocks say it's large. My mind is confused....

    Miss Daisy

Nina is the queen of doggy photo's but it requires a fast shutter trigger and a quick recycling light. The cat is an estimated 16 - 18 years old so she always look like this. :)
