thanks, Bill! yep, there was a spotted sandpiper there last year, and i got shots of it, but i never saw more than one. this time, there were several, and i think we may see little ones somewhere along the line... that is, if they nest in the same area!
 


One of these days, I'll get to see a Woody.
Until then, I'll just have to enjoy your captures.

thanks, Deka! there are wood ducks pretty much year 'round at Juanita Bay Park in Kirkland... not as many in summer, but almost always some. from about September through April, they're quite common there. it's a bit of a drive from the Tacoma area, but... but... wood ducks!
