while waiting at the osprey nest this afternoon, i thought i'd try my hand at catching swallows in flight... they've historically eluded me, and i still miss more than i get, but the 7DII does improve my odds! i had the lens backed off to 300-450mm to get the little stinkers in the viewfinder, so these are fairly heavy crops, but i'm not unhappy with the results...
Good shots and yes, they are tough to grab on the wing.
