we headed over to Brackett's Landing to see what we could see... not much, as it turned out. we stood around chatting for a while, then headed back to the cars. on the way, we saw some wigeons mixed in with a flock of gulls. most were American wigeons...

but there were a couple of Eurasian wigeons in the crowd...

Those little zombie eyed horned grebes are one of Terry's favorite birds. The pigeon Gullimots were in their non-breeding plumage, when they can easily be mistaken for murres or murrelets.

Good call on visiting Edmonds on Wednesday, the last day of our clear but cold weather. Thursday we returned to our regularly scheduled winter gloom & doom. :(
