this little fellow was having himself a good ol' time on a thistle bush at Canyon Park, and actually let me get close enough for some half-decent shots! this isn't my best goldfinch ever, but definitely one of the better ones... 7D2, 550mm, 1/1250 @ f/8

an acquaintance mentioned it in passing, and told me where it was. it certainly does seem like it's not very well known...
