A merlin at Juanita Bay

Got some shots of a merlin at Juanita Bay Park this afternoon... it was flying out over the bay, low over the water, catching dragonflies, and then returning to its perch to eat. No flight shots - I couldn't even keep it in the viewfinder! - but I did manage some images of it perched, and eating its snack...

August seems to be the month to be on the lookout for them hunting dragonflies at our local marshes.
