The joys of photographing our national bird. You could probably give an hour long clinic on photographing just eagles.
I have found that I have to shoot with at least -1 exposure compensation to avoid blowing out the head if the eagle is in direct sunlight. Of course you then run the risk of under exposing the dark wings and bodies.
