Found a couple of green herons at Juanita Bay this afternoon - first ones I've seen there in a couple of years. One of them flew over near one of the viewing platforms, and gave me about 2 hours' worth of goodies... caught several small fish and a dragonfly, spent some time stalking, preening, stretching, yawning, and generally going "greenie" stuff. I got a lot of good images from about 25 feet away, and had a wonderful afternoon photographing this little guy before he finally flew off around 7:15...

Love these shots. :o

I saw an adult and juvie at Sprague Pond yesterday, but distance and heat waves precluded good photos.
