decided i needed a change of scenery this afternoon, so i went down to Edmonds to see what i could see. started at the fishing pier, then met up with Bill and Daren and Stefan at the marsh. here are a few of my shots from the afternoon...
a horned grebe with a small fish...
i believe this one is a red-necked grebe...
over at the marsh, a ruby-crowned kinglet surprised me with a momentary appearance... this was a quick snap-shot, didn't really have time to set up... just aimed, hoped the AF got it, and pushed the shutter! not as sharp as i'd like, but better than no shot at all...
we all lamented that the Eurasian teal was so far away - probably 80 yards across the marsh - and blended in so well with the green-winged teals it was hanging out with, but we can at least confirm that there's one here!! it's the one on the right, standing...
