I've seen male black-headed grosbeaks a number of times, but had never seen a female in anything that could be called an "open" setting until now. This pretty lady was playing among the leaves of a willow tree at Juanita Bay Park, and popped out in the open not 15 feet in front of me... I was a bit surprised, but managed to get the camera up and get a few shots before she flitted off to another tree...
