went back up to Stanwood this afternoon and while i was there the ringnecked pheasants showed up, so i grabbed a couple of shots. a bit closer and in better light than yesterday, though not by a whole lot... still flat, but at least brighter. enough to pop this handsome fellow's colors nicely...

Hunting season starts soon if not already in progress. Animals sense this and your pheasant will not be seen until spring.
