sky brightened up just a bit today, and a friend called asking if i wanted to get out, so i said okay, and we wound up on the pier at Edmonds... not a ton of activity, but a number of red-necked and horned grebes and surf scoters, plus a few mergansers. here's one of the red-necked grebes who seemed to be busy preening and showing off just off the pier...

Good shots. Talk about an Edmonds kind of day. Stefan, Daren, and I were at the pier about 3:30pm. We had run into Jerome earlier at the marsh.

Jerome came by the pier while we were there, didn't stay long, though... said it was too cold. we must've just missed you - we headed over to Brackett's Landing about 3:30... the light was pretty much gone by then, though, so we didn't stay there long.
